I joined the film Industry at 17, then was a marketing and sales manager for a video company during the video and DVD boom. Now I'm a part time journalist writing columns, speeches and about local sports. I spent two years travelling around Asia, Europe, Great Britain, Canada and the USA before settling in Thailand where, for the past five years, I have been quizmaster for local expats. I attended grammar school in England, which was determined to teach me to write and speak English correctly. It was a while ago but I remember it fondly. After school, I spent two years working in the chemical, and coal industries as a laboratory technician, then 30 years in IT, of which the final 15 years were in management roles. During those times I wrote thousands of documents of all descriptions. The English always had to be precise and the format faultless. Away from my desk, I am an avid sports fan. After retiring in 2011 I lived in Goa, India for a year. For the last nine years I have lived in Thailand. I like to help people, so please let me help you with your English.
